Ballet was truly my life, and I really wanted to study and remain at the school – even though it wasn’t easy.

Anastasia's early life

Born in Sevastopol, Ukraine in 1982, Anastasia began her dance journey at age six in a folk dance ensemble. At 13, her path shifted dramatically when a talented ballet teacher in Sevastopol recognised her potential and encouraged her to apply to the Kyiv Choreographic School. Despite being a latecomer to ballet, Anastasia, at 14, earned a probationary admission to the school in 1996. Facing the formidable challenges of catching up with rigorous training and adjusting to dormitory life away from her parents, she dedicated herself fully. Her tireless effort paid off, and within a few years, she had established an excellent reputation in her class. Anastasia graduated from the Kiev State Choreographic School in 2001.
